Door to door
The Door to Door website is now closed. Travel and transport information for disabled and less mobile people can be found by:
- Viewing the Directgov Disabled People and Transport webpages. These web pages contain lots of helpful information on using public transport, vehicle tax exemptions, car adaptations, the Motability Scheme and the Blue Badge Scheme.
- Directgov’s disabled people section also contains lots of helpful information on your transport rights, disability living allowance, adapting your home and much more.
- Downloading the publication Accessible Travel – Information for Disabled and Less Mobile People which contains useful information on all modes of public transport, how to make a complaint and where to go for more information.
The Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee (DPTAC) is an independent body advising Government on the transport needs of disabled people. Information on the Committee and its work is available on the DPTAC website.
